Novakov Dataset

Compilation and analysis of published concentrations and other information on carbonaceous aerosols:

(1) The type of data (measured quantities, measurement technique, estimated accuracy, etc.); Mass concentrations and other information on organic, total and black carbon, methods of sampling and analysis employed, evaluation of sampling and analytical artifacts.

(2) Temporal and spatial coverage; Data from about 1978 to present. In source regions (urban), rural, remote environments. Ground based, aircraft and shipborne sampling platforms.

(3) For longer temporal coverage, the dates of most reliable data; To be found out, hopefully.

(4) Data format and where and how they can be retrieved. The work is in progress, I can provide this info to you once a sufficiently large data has been assembled.
